AEDIL Dairy CoVE ACADEMY
Introduction
24-28 June 2024
The key to maintaining the role of dairy in sustainable and healthy diet is ensuring holistic scientific approaches which cover the entire food system. Any future food system will only function if it leads to diets that are not only healthy and sustainable, but also affordable, safe for all, and accepted.
This dual event funded by the AEDIL Dairy Centre of Vocational Excellence – European Commission Erasmus+ CoVE programme aims to bringing the dairy science community together, as the future food system will need to be created with input from many disciplines to future-proof the role of dairy in this future food system, where the primary aim is to supply nutrition to billions of consumers world-wide via a balanced nutrient-rich diet.
The AEDIL Dairy Academy brings together three key dairy stakeholder groups (Researchers, Industry and Educators) in a collaborative learning and sharing space to share the latest research and contribute to the education and development of the next generation of Dairy Researchers and Teachers.
The AEDIL Dairy CoVE Academy consists of two different events.
- An in-person summer school at University of Copenhagen: June 24th to June 28th, from 9:00 to 14:00 CET each day, for early career researchers who want to strengthen their knowledge in dairy science and enhance their transferable skills.
- An online Symposium: June 24th to June 27th, from 15:00 to 17.30 CET each day, targeted equally at students of dairy science and dairy professionals from academia and industry that are interested in the latest topics.
